Properties to Let in the UK
You can search for your ideal property to rent across the UK by using our search facility on the left. We also reccommend that you call our offices in your desired areas and join their mailing list. You can also visit our branches page to view their full property listings.
The Lettings Process
When you have viewed a property and decided its the one for you, there may be certain things about the property you wish to change, add or remove. These will need to be indicated to the agent or the landlord before you make an offer, as the landlord may not be willing to make the changes you request. |
There may also be special requirements that you need, such as a request to put a satellite dish up, or to be allowed a pet at the property. Again, make sure that the agent and landlord are aware of these requests and you have a decision before you put your offer in, as again, the landlord may say no. |
When you have put your offer in and it has been accepted, your agent should then write to you to tell you the next steps, as these can differ from agent to agent. |
With Link Up Properties the next step should be getting you referenced. This means we do a background check on you to ensure that you are a suitable tenant.
This usually includes a credit check, a reference from a previous landlord and a reference from your employer. There is a charge for this service, please check with your local Link Up Properties office what that fee would be. |
We will then ask for a holding deposit to hold the property subject to your reference checks being returned satisfactorily. If the landlord withdraws from the tenancy agreement process you will be refunded. |
Prior to the commencement of your tenancy date a deposit and 1 months rent needs to be paid (your holding deposit will be subtracted from this amount).
Each Link Up Properties office will subscribe to a Tenancy Deposit Protection scheme, please contact your local Link Up Properties office to find out further information. |
Now we draw up the tenanacy agreement for both parties for you both to sign. There is an administration fee for this, please check with your local Link Up Properties office what that fee would be. |
Once all of the paperwork, guarantees and cleared funds are in place, the tenancy can go ahead. You can move in from the date on the tenancy agreement! |
