Link Up Properties have launched their franchised Estate Agent in Stafford

The Stafford & surrounding area's Link Up franchise began trading on the 17th March 2005.

The epicentre of the area is the County Town of Stafford and the franchise covers this plus numerous villages in the surrounding countryside, the largest of which is Gnosall. There has been a great deal of property development in recent years in Stafford as improved communications have brought the town into the Manchester, Birmingham and Telford commuter belts. This trend continues today as the opening of the M6 toll road has now made the southern side of Birmingham reachable on a daily basis and small estates are still being constructed with commuters in mind.

There has been a settlement in Stafford since pre-Norman times, and the town has a long and varied history right up to the industrial age when a number of well known industrial concerns - most notable GEC - had operations in the town. The result is that the town now offers an interesting mix of older and more modern properties. The property market in the area has been very buoyant in recent years, as the reduction in heavy industry in the town has been replaced by tertiary industry and commuters. Properties in Gnosall and the surrounding countryside are always in demand as a result of the areas outstanding natural beauty. As with elsewhere in the UK there has been a slowing of the property market in 2005, but despite this there continues to be significant turnover of property in the area.

The Stafford office is currently operated from the home of the franchisee owner/manager David Panton.
